Chatham was a larger-than-life character, active in the local art, restaurant and publishing scenes. He was known for his landscape paintings and perhaps known to most locally for his lithographs.

Livingston artist Parks Reece works on a new painting Friday at his gallery on Main Street. The piece, which is partially finger painted, is titled “Forbidden Love” and depicts a fox and a cottontail rabbit “nuzzling noses lovingly.”

Reece’s artwork is featured on the new Montana license plate supporting the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Foundation, or ABWF, and is now available to purchase at county treasurer offices across the state.
